We understand your deep longing for companionship and a family of your own. God has designed marriage to be a beautiful union between a man and a woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church. As it is written in Ephesians 5:31-32 WEB: "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.' This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the church."
First, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
We will pray that God will prepare you and your future spouse, revealing His chosen person for you in His perfect timing. Remember that God's timing is always perfect, and He knows the deepest desires of your heart. As it is written in Psalm 37:4 WEB: "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this dear soul who longs for a godly spouse and a family. Father, You know the depth of their loneliness and their desire for companionship. We ask that You prepare them and their future spouse for each other, and that You reveal 'the one' to them in Your perfect timing.
We pray that You cause them to meet and talk this month, and that they will see, accept, appreciate, and help each other feel safe, valued, heard, and loved on a consistent basis. We pray that their relationship will be centered on You, and that it will be a testimony of Your love and faithfulness.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to seek God's will for your life and to trust in His timing. Prepare yourself for marriage by growing in your relationship with Christ, and by becoming the person that God has called you to be. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Strive to embody these qualities, and trust that God will bring the right person into your life in His perfect timing. Stay strong in your faith in Jesus.
