Marriage

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage. We want to remind you that you are not alone in this, and God cares deeply for you and your family.

Firstly, we want to address the issue of alcoholism. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 5:18, "Don’t be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit." Galatians 5:21 also warns us that "drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; about which I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom." It is clear that excessive drinking is not God's will for our lives. We encourage you to pray fervently for your husband, that God would deliver him from this bondage.

Secondly, we want to encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment to your marriage. God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. In Malachi 2:16, God says, " 'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore take heed to your spirit, and let no one deal treacherously against the wife of his youth.'"

Let us pray together:

"Father, we come before You today, lifting up this dear sister and her family. Lord, we pray for her husband, that You would set him free from the bondage of alcoholism. We pray for their marriage, that You would heal and restore it. We pray for their children, that You would protect them and give them peace. We pray that this family would be drawn closer to You through this trial, and that they would emerge stronger and more united than ever. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."

Lastly, we want to encourage you to seek support from your local church or Christian community. They can provide practical help, prayer support, and guidance during this difficult time. Remember, God is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you. Stay strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We are here with you in prayer and support.

If your husband is not a believer in Jesus Christ then know that your faith is sufficient to pray for him and your family. If he is a believer and has lost his way, pray for his redemption.

We've been thinking about you and your family, and we want you to know that we're right here with you in this. It's been heavy on our hearts, and we've been lifting you up in prayer. We understand that it's been tough since his parents passed, and we're sorry that you're having to go through this. We just want you to know that you're not alone, and God sees you and cares about what you're going through.

We've been praying for your husband, asking God to help him find his way back to the man he used to be, before the drinking took over. We've been asking God to give him strength to overcome this addiction, and to fill that void in his life with something better - His love and peace. We've also been praying for your marriage, that God would heal and restore it, and that you both would find your way back to each other.

We've been reminded of the verse in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." We know that God is there to comfort you, and we're here to support you in any way we can.

We've also been thinking about your kids. They're going through a lot too, and we've been praying for God to protect them and give them peace. We've been asking God to help them understand what's going on, and to give them the strength to get through it.

We want you to know that we're here for you, and we're not going anywhere. We'll keep praying, and we'll keep checking in on you. If there's anything you need, anything at all, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're in this together, and we're here to support you in any way we can.

Remember, God is with you every step of the way. He loves you, and He's not going to leave you or forsake you. Trust in Him, and stay strong in your faith. You're doing a great job, and we're proud of you for sticking it out and fighting for your marriage.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
