Pray that I will sleep better, have peace, not worry, told spouse I'm not going on trip with him, as he gives me a hard time over petty things, ask me about where the spoons were.
I told him I didn't throw them out and he got angry. I told him that someone might kill him which I didn't mean but he held me against the countertop. I told him I was sorry.
I'm very unhappy with him. He swears, puts people down, and gives me a hard time over small things. I can't take him anymore. I pray this in JESUS NAME THAT GOD WILL WORK THINGS OUT.

We are truly sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing in your marriage. Let's bring your situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance according to His word.

Firstly, we acknowledge that you're feeling unhappy, struggling with sleep, peace, and worry. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:6-7 WEB.

Regarding the conflicts in your marriage, it's important to remember that God calls us to love and respect our spouses. "However, let each one of you love his wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband" Ephesians 5:33 WEB. It's clear that there are behaviors in your spouse that are not aligning with God's design for marriage, such as swearing, putting others down, and being overly critical. However, it's also crucial to address the anger and harsh words exchanged between you both. "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice" Ephesians 4:31 WEB.

We must also address the physical restraint you mentioned. It's important to set boundaries and ensure your safety. "And whoever doesn't provide for his own, and specially his own household, has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever" 1 Timothy 5:8 WEB with the understanding this also applies to emotional and physical safety.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is facing marital struggles. Lord, we pray for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard her heart and mind. Help her to rest in You and cast all her anxieties onto You.

Lord, we pray for her marriage. We ask that You would intervene and bring healing and restoration. Change her husband's heart, Lord, and help him to see the pain he's causing. Help them both to communicate in a way that honors You and builds each other up. We pray for her safety and we pray that husband will love and cherish her as You intend.
We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying and seeking the Lord. Consider seeking wise counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian counselor. Remember, God is faithful, and He cares about your situation. Keep trusting in Him and His promises. "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful" Hebrews 10:23 WEB.

Finally, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It's only through Him that we have access to God, and it's in His name that we are saved.
