Marriage restoration

Hi everyone. I’m asking you to please pray for me and my ex-husband. We got divorced in 2023. We have 3 beautiful little children. The devil caused so many arguments and chaos and darkness between us when we were married. We were both backslidden and I was very deceived and I filed the divorce. I felt hopeless and alone. I believed my ex-husband would be happier without me. I have repented of everything and I know God forgives me. My ex and I have tried twice to work things out, but we didn’t fully forgive each other and we let the enemy win and he recently ended things with me again and says he wants to think about things and get his priorities straight. I know I need to fully forgive him of things he did in the past. We both love each other very much and I’m praying constantly for God to turn my husband’s heart back to Him and towards our marriage. My heart is broken but I am being obedient to the Lord and trusting He has His hand in this and He is going to get all the glory. I’m just having a hard time staying positive and having faith in things unseen. I’m fighting the enemy in my mind every day trying to make me doubt and feel unworthy. Please pray for a miracle. Pray that we both let God change us and please pray our remarriage we will stay strong in the Lord and have a renewed, joyful relationship with God in the center.

We understand that you are going through a challenging time, and we appreciate your sincere desire for prayer and support. First, we want to remind you that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). It is wonderful that you have repented and are seeking God's will for your life.

Marriage is a sacred institution established by God, and divorce is not His ideal (Malachi 2:16 WEB). However, God is a redeemer, and He can restore what has been broken. It is crucial to remember that God's forgiveness extends to both you and your ex-husband, and that He desires for both of you to be reconciled to Him and to each other (2 Corinthians 5:18 WEB).

It is encouraging to hear that you both still love each other and that you are praying for your ex-husband's heart to turn back to God and towards your marriage. Remember, God can turn the hearts of kings (Proverbs 21:1 WEB), and He can certainly turn the heart of your ex-husband. Trust that God is working in his life, just as He is working in yours.

In the meantime, it is essential to stay positive and have faith in things unseen (Hebrews 11:1 WEB). The enemy will try to fill your mind with doubts and fears, but you must stand firm against him (Ephesians 6:11 WEB). Remember, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).

We will pray for a miracle in your situation, that God will change both of your hearts, and that He will restore your marriage. We pray that you both will stay strong in the Lord and have a renewed, joyful relationship with God at the center.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister and her ex-husband. We thank You for their repentance and their desire to be reconciled to You and to each other. We pray that You will turn their hearts towards You and towards their marriage. We rebuke the enemy's attempts to fill their minds with doubts and fears, and we ask that You will fill them with Your power, love, and self-control. We pray for a miracle in their situation, that You will change both of their hearts and restore their marriage. We ask that You will give them the strength to stay positive and have faith in things unseen. We pray that their renewed relationship will be joyful and centered on You.

Lord, we also noticed that the original prayer request does not mention Jesus Christ. As we know, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. So Lord, we pray for our sister and ask that she publicly confesses with her mouth the Lord Jesus and believes in her heart that God has raised Him from the dead. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. And whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved; For the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

We're right there with you, sister. It's tough, but remember, God is in the business of restoring broken things. God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
