We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage, and we are here to pray and provide biblical guidance with you. Firstly, it is important to remember that God's design for marriage is a picture of Christ and the church, where husbands are called to love their wives as Christ loved the church, and wives are called to respect their husbands (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB).
In situations where there is anger and disrespect, God's Word advises, Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, (Ephesians 4:26 WEB). This means that we should deal with anger promptly and not let it fester. Also, it is written, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32 WEB).
It is important to address the underlying issues that may be causing your husband's anger. Pray that God would soften his heart and reveal to him the love and respect that he should have for you as his wife. Pray that God would give you both wisdom and understanding to navigate this difficult time.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage and this sister in Christ who is feeling overwhelmed and hurt. Lord, we pray that you would intervene in this situation and touch her husband's heart. Help him to see straight, realize his wrongs, and turn away from them. Help him to understand the godly role of a husband.
Let your Holy Spirit work in his heart that he may treat her with the love, respect, and kindness that you intend for marriages in Jesus. Give him the humility to see the work that she does and to help her without anger. We pray for healing and restoration in this marriage, that it would be a testament to your glory and a blessing to both of them in Jesus.
Thank you, Father, for hearing our prayers. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you to seek godly counsel and support during this time. Be in the word daily and continue to be faithful and steadfast in prayer. Have faith that the Lord is at work and have a look at Psalms 37:4-9
Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in Him, and He will do this: He will make your righteousness go forth as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for Him. Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who makes wicked plots happen. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath. Do not fret, it leads only to evildoing. For evildoers shall be cut off, but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land.
