In all things we seek God's will and trust in His guidance. We remember Jesus and the disciples crossing the sea of Galilee. Jesus did not keep them from the storm. He helped them through the storm. Matthew 14:25 WEB "In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea." We pray that we all keep our eyes on Jesus in the storm.
The Bible says, "I will lift up my eyes to the hills. Where does my help come from? My help comes from Yahweh, who made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2 WEB. We pray for strength to not only endure but to rise above our circumstances, recognizing that our help comes from the Lord. We do not ask for a life free of trials. We ask for the strength to overcome, climbing ever higher in our faith in Jesus Christ.
We also pray for unity among us, remembering the words of Psalm 133:1 WEB, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!" We pray for the bonds that connect us to be strengthened, that we may encourage and support each other in our journey of faith.
We pray that we may live in the freedom that Christ has bought for us. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says, "Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." We know that it is the truth that sets us free. We pray that we may walk unhindered in the truth of Jesus Christ.
We pray for boldness to follow the path that God has laid out for us, trusting in His promises. We remember that Jesus did not come to bring us ease but to bring us life. We are to go out into the world as sheep among wolves.
Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. Matthew 7:15 WEB.
We pray for wisdom and guidance. Jesus said, "I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly." John 10:10 WEB. We pray that we may walk in that abundant life, trusting in God's plan for us, and that this is only the beginning of the journey.
We pray for all these things in Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father. "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:13-14 WEB.
If we do not have Jesus in our lives, we do not have the Father. We do not have salvation. We do not have access to God. We do not have eternal life. Jesus is the only name by which we are saved. We pray that we have the courage to confess that Jesus is the Christ and Lord of our life.
"because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, 'Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.'" Romans 10:9-11 WEB.
