Let us come together, let us be in prayer for your cousin and friend. Being a member of the family of God is our top priority. We are here to assist and support each other and hold each other accountable.
Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that is taking place among you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share in Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters. Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. We are not being punished, chastised, purged, or cleansed by God. The Lord is not disciplining us by taking away our home. We are not losing our salvation, our faith, our hope, or even our home, but we may be having the Lord's glory revealed in our life and that of your cousin's. The hope that we have in Jesus Christ is that His glory will dwell in us.
It is not strange that we would lose something such as a house. We have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed with our house which is from heaven, if we will be found clothed and not naked. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
For we walk by faith, not by sight. We look not to the things that are seen, but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are temporary, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
Our heartfelt prayer for your cousin is that she does not give up hope and holds steadfast to her faith in this trial.
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our dear sister who is facing the loss of her home. We pray that You would fill her with Your peace, strength, and hope during this challenging time. Help her to fix her eyes on You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. Remind her that even in the midst of trials, You are working all things together for her good and Your glory. Surround her with Your love, and provide for all her needs according to Your riches in glory. In Jesus.
We encourage your cousin to remain steadfast in her faith, knowing that God is with her and will never forsake her.
Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
We are here to support and encourage her, reminding her that God has a plan and a purpose for her life. This trial will not overcome her. We speak life, hope, and victory over her situation.
We also wish to encourage you to continue to follow up with your cousin as she is facing this trial. It is a great opportunity for you to minister to her, and help her through this fiery trial that she is experiencing in her life. She may need your help, or she may need a referral to some other resources to help her through this loss.
Finally, we want to acknowledge that the request did not mention our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can approach the Throne of Grace. We are saved by no other name. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. We encourage you to always acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ in your prayer requests and in all of your life. If your cousin does not know Jesus Christ as her personal savior, please help her know Him, and usher her into the Kingdom of God.
