Cruthlyrr let us address your question about binding and loosing spirits with discernment and biblical wisdom. The practice of binding and loosing spirits is derived from Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18, where Jesus gives His disciples the authority to bind and loose on earth and in heaven. However, it is crucial to understand that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, as stated in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Firstly, we must ensure that our focus remains on the power and authority of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have the authority to bind and loose, as seen in Acts 3 "that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth" a lame man was healed. Let us remember that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved according to Acts 4:12. Since we don't find a list of specific spirits to bind my loops in the Bible, we must always test the spirits to see if they are from God because many false prophets have gone out from this world as 1 John 4 discussed.
Regarding binding, we can bind the spirits that are clearly against the work of God and the welfare of His children. For example, we can bind the spirit of deception (2 John 1:7), the spirit of antichrist (1 John 4:3), and the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). We can also bind spirits that cause division, confusion, and strife, as these are not from God who is the author of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).
Concerning loosing, we can loose spirits that align with God's will and promote His kingdom. We can loose the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17), the spirit of unity (Psalm 133:1), and the spirit of freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). We can also loose spirits that bring life, peace, and joy, as these are fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
Let us pray together:
"Father God Almighty, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask for Your divine knowledge, wisdom, and discernment in binding and loosing spirits. We bind every spirit that is not from You, that causes harm, deception, and destruction. We loose spirits that bring life, peace, and joy, that promote Your will and Your kingdom. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray and give thanks. Amen!"
