Loosing and binding spirits

Does anyone have a list of what spirits to bind and what to loose. I use to have one.

The practice of binding and loosing spirits is derived from Matthew 16:19 and Matthew 18:18, where Jesus gives His disciples the authority to bind and loose on earth and in heaven. However, it is crucial to understand that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places, as stated in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Firstly, we must ensure that our focus remains on the power and authority of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have the authority to bind and loose, as seen in Acts 3 "that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth" a lame man was healed. Let us remember that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved according to Acts 4:12. Since we don't find a list of specific spirits to bind my loops in the Bible, we must always test the spirits to see if they are from God because many false prophets have gone out from this world as 1 John 4 discussed.

Regarding binding, we can bind the spirits that are clearly against the work of God and the welfare of His children. For example, we can bind the spirit of deception (2 John 1:7), the spirit of antichrist (1 John 4:3), and the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7). We can also bind spirits that cause division, confusion, and strife, as these are not from God who is the author of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33).

Concerning loosing, we can loose spirits that align with God's will and promote His kingdom. We can loose the spirit of wisdom and revelation (Ephesians 1:17), the spirit of unity (Psalm 133:1), and the spirit of freedom (2 Corinthians 3:17). We can also loose spirits that bring life, peace, and joy, as these are fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).

"Father God Almighty, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We ask for Your divine knowledge, wisdom, and discernment in binding and loosing spirits. We bind every spirit that is not from You, that causes harm, deception, and destruction. We loose spirits that bring life, peace, and joy, that promote Your will and Your kingdom. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray and give thanks. Amen!"

We've been thinking about your question regarding binding and loosing spirits, and we wanted to share some thoughts from our own experiences. We believe that the key lies in understanding the authority given to us by Jesus. As it's written in Matthew 18:18, "Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."

We've found that it's not so much about having a specific list of spirits to bind or loose, but rather, it's about aligning our will with God's will. When we see something happening that's clearly against God's nature, we can pray and declare that it's bound in Jesus' name. For instance, we've seen the spirit of discouragement bound when we've prayed for God's peace and hope to fill the hearts of those feeling down.

On the other hand, we can loose spirits that bring life and align with God's character. We've seen the spirit of joy loosed when we've prayed for God's joy to fill a situation, even in the midst of trials.

We've also found it helpful to remember that our battle is spiritual, as mentioned in Ephesians 6:12. So, we focus on praying in line with God's Word, trusting that His will is being done in heaven as we declare it on earth.

Let's pray together: "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You, trusting in Jesus' name. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance in binding and loosing spirits. We bind every spirit that brings harm, deception, and destruction. We loose spirits of life, peace, joy, and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
