We kept an artificial tree inside the hall of our home for decoration. Two tiny birds used to visit every now and then through the window. Slowly they start making a nest in that tree. They made a beautiful nest. The female bird laid three eggs. One fine morning the eggs hatched and three tiny ones popped out. We enjoyed watching them whenever the mother bird goes out to bring food for the little ones. One day quite unexpectedly it came in and saw us watching the nest. Oh God, although it was a tiny bird it flew fast to hit our face and we just ran out.
I remember the Bible verse in Isaiah 31:5
Like birds hovering overhead,
the Lord Almighty will shieldJerusalem;
he will shield it and deliver it,
he will ‘pass over’ it and will rescue it.”
My experience was with a tiny bird.
Imagine our almighty God, the creator of the entire universe!!! He will never allow any evil to touch us if only we accept and understand He is our Heavenly Father.
He may correct us as a father does whenever we become disobedient.
Proverbs 3:12
because the Lord disciplines those he loves,
as a father the son he delights in.
At the same time His love to His children will never allow anyone to touch them.
He says in
Zechariah 2:8
for whoever touches you touches the apple of his eye—
Let us thank our Father for His unfailing love.
Amen.
