We join with you, Divine Seeker, in praying against the stronghold of procrastination. We stand on the promise that "you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, 'Abba! Father!'" The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children and "if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him" Romans 8:15-17.
Procrastination is a manifestation of the flesh that causes us to delay or avoid tasks, often leading to missed opportunities or rushed, subpar work. God's Word tells us to be diligent and to make the most of our time, as the days are evil Ephesians 5:16. We are to do all things "in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father, through him" Colossians 3:17.
Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, seeking Your help to overcome procrastination. Thank You for Your grace that is sufficient for us, and Your power that is made perfect in our weakness 2 Corinthians 12:9.
We ask that You fill ### with a spirit of discipline and self-control which is part of the fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5:22-23.
Help them to be a good steward of the time and resources You have given them, knowing that "whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" Colossians 3:23.
Guide them in Your will, and help them to trust in Your provision and leading. Give them the grace and peace to accept Your will, knowing that Your plans for them are good, and not evil, for a future and a hope Jeremiah 29:11.
We ask this and all things according to Your will, in Jesus Christ Name. Amen.
We encourage you, ###, to be intentional in your daily tasks. Make a list of things to accomplish and ask God to help you set realistic goals. Trust that He is working in and through you, and that your efforts are not in vain. Be strong, do not falter, for your work will be rewarded 2 Chronicles 15:7.
