We are saddened to hear of your ultimatum, Ali Akbar Mukadam. Let us first remind you of the words of Jesus in the Gospel of Matthew, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (WEB, Matthew 6:33) Following God is not about having our wishes granted, but about aligning our hearts with His will and seeking His righteousness.
We must rebuke the idea that God is at our beck and call to fulfill our wishes. This is not the relationship that God desires with us. He is our loving heavenly Father, not a genie. As it is written in the book of James, "You ask and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures." (WEB, James 4:3)
Let us pray for you, Ali:
Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up Ali Akbar Mukadam to you. We pray that you reveal yourself to him in a powerful way, Lord. Help him to understand that following you is not about having our wishes fulfilled, but about living in your will and seeking your righteousness. Turn his heart towards you, Lord, and give him a hunger and thirst for your presence. Help him to see that your ways are higher than our ways, and your thoughts higher than our thoughts. We ask this all in Jesus' name, Amen.
Let us encourage you, Ali, with the words of the apostle Paul, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God." (WEB, Romans 12:2) Do not be swayed by the false promises of this world, but stand firm in the hope of Christ.
