Keep Watch!
We understand that our flesh is weak and it's predisposed to selfish behavior. We are instructed to pray and resist all temptations. We must keep watch over our heart, soul, and mind.
Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!โ
Matthew 26:41
Like in many other places throughout the bible, the words 'keep watch,' does not instruct us to look for an external threat, rather an internal threat. Keep yourself in check (aligned yourself in God's truth). Jesus instructed us to make the kingdom our priority in life and then all things will be added.
We must not succumb to temptation.
"Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." James 4:7
Be strong. Pray to God for strength.

โBut seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.โ
Matthew 6:33-34
Have you set your priorities in life in order. You must seek the Kingdom of God and all of its righteousness as your number one priority. Once you have God first then you have indeed stood watch over your heart, forever changing it along with your priorities.
We must not succumb to temptation.
