No, Jesus did say, "When you see these things begin to pass, lift up your heads, because you know your deliverance draweth nigh." Also, "LOOKING FOR and hastening unto the day.." It was never said we're to COMPLETELY IGNORE the signs. "Be aware, that the day may not come upon you like a thief," We're to occupy until He comes, sure, but at the same time, I don't recall reading we're to "ignore" all mention of the end time prophecies. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
