We understand your desire for a meaningful relationship, and it's commendable that you're seeking God's will in this matter. However, we want to remind you that the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father, and it's important to pray in His name, not just in the name of the Lord Almighty, which is often used to regard God the Father of the Old Testament. As Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6 WEB.

First, we want to encourage you to ensure that this relationship is aligned with biblical principles. This is paramount to anything listed in the prayer. You should be seeking a spouse, not just a close friend. If this is not your spouse, then you should not be this close to friendship romantically speaking. The Bible teaches

Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB.

This does not mean that you cannot be friends with unbelievers, but close relationships and marriage should be with fellow believers, as your spouse will greatly influence your walk with Christ and should encourage your spiritual growth. This is especially true if this person is not a Christian.

We also want to address the phrase let her be the one. It's important to remember that God's will should be your ultimate desire, not just your own wishes. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB.

Regarding the prayer, it's crucial to remember that our intimacy and oneness with Christ should be our priority. He should be our first love, and our relationship with Him should be the standard for all other relationships.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son. We lift up this person seeking Your Will for his life and relationships. Guide him, Lord, and give him the wisdom and discernment to navigate this relationship in a way that honors You. Help him to draw closer to You, to grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ, and to trust in Your timing. Help him to remember that you have said it is not good for man to be alone and to see them to a marriage that honors you. And may Your will be done in his life and in this relationship. We pray this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life and to trust in His timing and guidance. Be open to His leading, and He will direct your paths as you try to live in accordance with his will.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
