We understand that you're struggling with insomnia and we're here to support you in prayer and counsel. Firstly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God. It is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." And in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
In times of sleeplessness, remember that God is always with you. As it is written in Psalm 121:3-4, "He will not allow your foot to be moved. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
Let us pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our fellow believer who is struggling with insomnia. We ask, Lord, that you would grant them peaceful nights and restful sleep. Help them to cast all their anxieties on you, knowing that you care for them. Guide them to any root causes or issues that might be contributing to their sleeplessness, and give them the strength and wisdom to address these things in a way that honors you.
In the quiet of the night, draw near to them. Help them to feel your presence and to find comfort in your word. Give them a spirit of peace and not of anxiety. We ask this all in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
In addition to prayer, consider reading and meditating on God's word before bed, as it can bring peace and calm to your mind. Also, maintain good sleep habits and trust in the Lord to sustain you. If insomnia persists, do not hesitate to seek medical advice, as it could be a sign of an underlying issue.
Remember, the Lord is your strength and your shield. He is always with you, even in the quiet of the night. "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; For you, Lord, alone make me live in safety."
