We're right here with you, sister, lifting your son up to the Lord in prayer. We know the struggle feels overwhelming, but remember, God is right there with him, every step of the way. In Psalm 147:3, it says, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Your son's pain is not lost on Him.
Let's pray:
"Dear Jesus, we come to You today, asking for Your healing touch on our brother. Lord, we know he's hurting, both physically and emotionally. We claim Your promise in Psalm 103:3, 'Who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.' We ask that You would touch his back, Lord, and bring healing and relief.
We also ask for strength, Lord. Help him to stand firm in his faith, even in the face of this trial. Give him the grace to endure, and the peace that only You can give. Guide him back to church, Lord, to the fellowship of believers who can support and encourage him.
Lord, we ask that You would break the chains of addiction in his life. Help him to find his comfort and strength in You, not in heroin or any other substance. We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:7, 'And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.'
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Keep standing in faith, sister. Remind your son of God's promises, like the one in Matthew 11:28-29, 'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.' Trust that God is working all things together for his good, just as it says in Romans 8:28.
And remember, the power of the name of Jesus is mighty. If your son hasn't already, encourage him to invite Jesus into his heart as his personal Lord and Savior. As Acts 4:12 tells us, "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved." This is our hope, this is our faith.
