I want to request prayer for my ###

I want to request prayer for my son ###. Today I had one of the biggest shocks of my life, and I have no idea how to handle it, except through prayers. But I’m going to need help with this one because it cut straight to my soul. In brief, my son, age ###, approached me and said he had something he needed to get off his chest, so to speak. Me being a loving dad told him I’d be glad to listen. Then came the shock. He told me with burning tears in his eyes and obvious pain in his heart that he was deeply hurt because when he was a baby in the hospital after his birth……. This is the shocker: that I had him circumcised! Which I did, of course! But he went on to explain that he feels that is only for the Old Testament and babies these days do not need it!! I could feel from his eyes that he was deeply wounded! He told me that he feels the procedure robs the male of some pleasure during intercourse! And he felt it was just as cruel as how in Egypt and other countries they remove the female clitoris, thus depriving the female of her main sexual pleasure. (Yes, I agree that is cruel and wrong and certainly an abomination to God!) But I don’t feel it deprives men of pleasure. But ### apparently believes the foreskin is a source of male pleasure and by circumcizing males they are robbed of much pleasure. He told me he had been holding this inside for years! Well I stood there dumbfounded! It took me totally by surprise, and I was nonplussed! The truth is being ### long years ago I have no recollection of that fateful day in the hospital and how the decision was made between myself, the doctor and my now deceased wife. ### years is a loooooong time! I don’t even recall if the doctor asked my permission or if we consulted between him and my wife. My memory is a total blank. I don’t know what else to say, except I’m requesting PRAYERS for my son! Me and my now deceased wife had ### and my other children layed hands on and dedicated to the LORD when they were babies by the late Dr ### of ###. Please, please, PLEASE pray for him!

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and reverence, seeking Your divine guidance and blessings for ###. We acknowledge Your sovereignty and grace, knowing that You are the source of all wisdom and strength. As Your Word says in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." We ask for Your wisdom to be poured out upon ### in every aspect of life.

Lord, we lift up ###'s family to You. We pray for unity, love, and peace within the household. Your Word in Colossians 3:14 reminds us, "And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony." May ###'s family be bound together in Your love, reflecting Your grace and mercy in their interactions with one another.

We also bring ###'s work and career before You, Lord. We ask for Your favor and guidance in every professional endeavor. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, "Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established." We commit ###'s work to You, trusting that You will establish and bless the efforts put forth.

Father, we pray for ###'s health and well-being. We ask for Your healing touch and protection over ###'s body, mind, and spirit. Psalm 103:2-3 says, "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits, who forgives all your iniquity, who heals all your diseases." We stand on this promise, believing in Your power to heal and restore.

Lord, we also seek Your guidance for ### in making wise and godly decisions. As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths." May ### trust in You fully and seek Your will in every decision.

We pray for ###'s spiritual growth and relationship with You, Lord. May ### draw closer to You each day, finding strength and comfort in Your presence. Psalm 119:105 declares, "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." May ###'s path be illuminated by Your Word, leading to a deeper understanding of Your truth.

Father, we also pray for ###'s relationships with friends and the community. May these relationships be rooted in love, respect, and mutual edification. Hebrews 10:24-25 encourages us, "And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near." May ### be a source of encouragement and support to others, reflecting Your love in all interactions.

We lift up these requests to You, Lord, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
