We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. Thank you all for praying. My heart is so broken, and my trust with my husband is gone at this point. His words are hallow to me, and it hurts to even carry on my day cause I'm reminded what's waiting for me. I'm so broken, I don't even know if I'll ever be able to recover from this. I don't even know how to move forward.

I have lived through 2 marriages with abusive in laws, the harm to your self esteem is unbelievable. Some partners are tied to their families forever, they don't change, the wife takes second place.

I got old tolerating the problem, I'm stuck financially trapped. If I were younger I would cut ties and start my life over not ever getting involved again. cynicaI. Some women seem to attract family bound partners always coming second. I bet you don't put family above him but he does, for me that's lack of respect for you, these men have never matured & never will, they are still juvenile in many ways, I'm sure you've seen the tell tale signs of immaturity, weakness. They grew up needing approval from mama and are addicted to that, it's some strange symbiotic relationship you can't compete with. I'm sorry you are going through this, only you can decide to not let it happen again or carry on tolerating at cost of your self esteem. You know it's not right but you can't fix it. I hope this helps you in some way, stop the pain if and while you can.

If you are the OP speaking of emotional abuse that is another sign of disrespect and immaturity, like a child throwing tantrums. The level of insult I live with chips away at your confidence, it changes you as a person.
