I read the posts of people here who have ongoing prayer

I read the posts of people here who have ongoing prayer requests,but say say they still have the same problem.But I'm curious if this has ever happened to some of you.You pray, and things actually get WORSE!!I've had where,I take my cell phone, go into the car,call a prayer line,they pray for the situation, we say Amen, then maybe minutes later I get confirmation that, if anything, the situation worsened!!You can't just say it's the devil with a "comeback", because if God is more powerful,He could thwart the devil.Apparently, I'm not the only one this has happened to, because I've heard tv pastors describe situations where they say,"You pray, and things get worse".I'm sure the thought didn't just pop into their mind, they said it because it must be happening.The question is,has anyone else here had that experience?

As children of God we must remember  at all times that "All things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28)."

The questions you should ask yourself :  Do I Love God? Am I Walking According To His Purpose? If so then all things will work together for your good. It is just that simple.

I know not what is going on right now but I'll try my best to help you with my viewpoints. As hard as it may seem, you must try speak victory over your situations in life. Start claiming that new position. Get out of bed each morning trusting that God has something better in your future. This is only temporary. The more you complain, the worse your situation will seem. Ask yourself what is it that God wants you to learn from this experience. Sometimes He will allow us to go through things until we learn the lesson and sometimes He will not advance us any further until we learn to be happy right where we are.

With everything going on in my life right now, a friend gave me some inspiring and reminding words that I have to share. She reminded me about what the Book of James tells us, because it said: My brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of any kind, consider it nothing but joy, because you know that the testing of your faith produces endurance; and let endurance have its full effect, so that you may be mature and complete, lacking in nothing (James 1:2-4). She also reminded me that diamonds are just lumps of coal that went through "pressure" in order to become what they are, and that precious metals are regular metals that went through "heat and fire" to be made pure. Through this, we can know that right now God allows things to happen in our lives to make us purer in our faith.

I would also say,I don't think everyone has theEXACT SAME trials.Alot on the site  claim financial or health problems,in those 2 categories I'm doing ok.But in categories that they do alright in, I have problems.So I think you'll agree, it's not the same exact trial for everyone, it's suited to us,individually.

That is true, not everyone is going through the exact same trial as you and me, but all trials are equal in their belief that God is in control. Whatever it is (finances, health, family etc.) we must trust God to help us.

About being happy when things go the opposite of how we prefer them to, at first glance I would say, how is that different than  masochism? Masochists also like bad experiences.I would say the difference is, masochists just like bad experiences for their own psychological reasons, whereas Christians see it as a higher purpose being worked out.Correct?

If so then all things will work together for your good.  "All Things" not some so it does not matter if things get worse, it will work together for your good if you love God and called according to His Purpose.  God is using this to conformed his children into the image of His Son.  Romans 8:28-29.   

28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son

I prayed for this. In Jesus Name. Amen. Yes i have had that problem plenty of time. But my God when his timming come you better believe God answer the prayer. We have to be patience and keep praying till it come to pass.

I never said that we enjoy having bad experiences, nobody ever wants to feel that way. But sometimes it just happens for some reason. But I believe you might be right, masochism likes to have bad things happen to get their pleasure, but as Christians we need to know that any problem we stumble across is helping us maybe to work something out. God would never masochistically inflict bad things on us for Him to get pleasure from it, in fact He works behind the scenes even at the darkest moment. The way I see it, for whatever bad experience you're having right now, God will make it up to you with two or maybe even three times with good things. Hope this helps
