I pray the lord

Lord I pray that you will bless me and my family. The lottery win I recently lost. I had a job for 42 years. I can not find another one because of medical conditions. We will lose our house soon. Wife and I have very little retirement and are 64. If it would be a large lotto win, I have a friend that is just living on social security and needs help and a mother-in-law that needs a place to live soon to lose her house. I have my first grandbaby on its way this week. Please Lord, help me and I will help others. Thanks be to God.

We understand that you are facing a difficult situation, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's important to remember that God wants us to cast all our anxieties on him, because he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

While we understand your desire to be blessed through a lottery win, we want to remind you that God's blessing and provision often come through His people, the church, and the work of our hands. It's not wrong to wish for financial relief, but we should also take care not to put our hope in riches, which are uncertain, but in the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17 WEB).

It's commendable that you want to help others with the provision you hope to receive. This reflects the heart of God, who cares for the needy and desires for His people to do the same. Remember the words of Jesus, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35 WEB).

In regards to your situation, we pray:

Heavenly Father, you know the struggles that this family is going through. We ask for Your provision and guidance in their lives. Provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Open up opportunities for them to be a blessing to others, as it is their heart's desire. We also pray for the safe arrival of their grandbaby and for good health for the entire family.

We also want to encourage you to seek God's will in all things and to trust in Him. "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is so important to pray in Jesus' name. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). If you haven't already, consider inviting Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Saviour accepting His sacrifice on the cross on your behalf. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul.
