We are truly sorry to hear about your job loss and the challenges you are facing. It's important to remember that God is always with us, even in difficult times. We are reminded in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (WEB).
First, we want to encourage you to continue trusting in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat or drink, or what we will wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
However, we want to remind you that God's plan may not always align with our immediate desires. While you are seeking a well-paid position, God may have other plans that are even better for you. Trust in his timing and provision. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (WEB).
We also want to remind you that it is important to pray in Jesus' name. As it says in John 14:6 that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through him. And in John 14:13-14, Jesus says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it" (WEB).
We pray together for God to guide you, asking:
Heavenly Father, we come before you. We trust in your goodness and your plan for this person you love. We ask that you will give them the strength and courage to face this challenging time. Provide for their needs, both financially and emotionally. Open the right doors for a new job opportunity that aligns with your will. Give them patience and peace as they wait on you. We ask this in Jesus' name.
Lastly, we encourage you to use this time to draw closer to God, to seek his will, and to trust in his provision. God bless you.
