We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement. Firstly, it's important to remember that God is always with us, even in our struggles. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for Yahweh your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
In this time of financial strain and uncertainty, we encourage you to trust in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches us not to worry about our lives, what we will eat or drink; or about our bodies, what we will wear. He says, "Look at the birds of the sky: they don't sow, nor do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? ...Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
Regarding finding a job, we pray that God will open doors for you to find employment that you enjoy and where you can thrive. Remember Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
We also pray for your studies, that God will provide the means for you to finish and excel. In Proverbs 16:3, it says, "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established."
For your housing situation, we pray for God's guidance and provision. In Philippians 4:19, it says, "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Lastly, we want to remind you that God is the ultimate judge and He sees your struggles. It is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and it is only by His name that we can be saved. If you have not already confessed the belief that God raised Jesus from the dead and Jesus is Lord then we would invite you to do this.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up our brother/sister in need. Lord, you know the struggles they're facing, the financial hardships, the uncertainty about housing, and the challenges in their studies and work. We ask, Father, that you would intervene, that you would open doors for a job that they enjoy and can thrive in, that you would provide the means for them to finish and excel in their studies, and that you would guide them to stable and affordable housing.
We also pray for their asylum application, Lord. We ask that you would hasten the process and grant a favorable outcome. We pray for their emotional well-being, Lord. We ask that you would heal them from the depression they've been battling and give them your peace and joy. We pray that you would help them to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ if they have not already.
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, trusting in your goodness and mercy. Amen.
If you feel that you are being harassed at work, it may be wise to document incidents and speak with a supervisor or human resources representative. If that does not resolve the issue, please contact local authorities. We are called to obey the laws of the land and if harassment is contrary to those laws where you live, then this is the right path forward.
