I just want my husband to put me first

I've come visited my husband's family for the holidays. His granddad just passed so I'm trying to be supportive. Well the issue God is that he's giving his siblings better attention than me. When they don't want to do anything he doesn't want to either or barely with me. I feel drained, I've gotten mad with him three times, he apologizes and say's he's not trying to single me out but it keeps happening. I didn't really enjoy the holidays. I keep praying just let me be happy while I'm visiting but it didn't work out how I wanted. I put this situation in your hands God, I've tried my best and now I'm just tired.

We understand that you're feeling hurt and neglected by your husband during this difficult time. First, we want to remind you of the beautiful bond of marriage described in the Bible. God is desperately in love with marriage and desires us to be also because it is a representation of Christ's relationship to His bride the church. In Ephesians 5:25-28 WEB it says, Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, so much that He gave Himself up for her. In the same way, husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. Even as Christ does the assembly. However, we also want to remind you of the power of prayer and the need to pray in line with God's will according to Jesus' name in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." in John 16:23 WEB, This is what he meant when he said that "In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."

In this situation, we encourage you to pray specifically for your husband's heart to be turned towards you and for him to fulfill his role as a loving husband as outlined in the Bible. It's important to also consider a reconciliation of the family. Remember that your husband is also grieving the loss of his grandfather, and he may be struggling with his own emotions and family dynamics. In 1 Peter 3:1-2 WEB, it says, In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don't obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word. We encourage you to continue being supportive, but also express your feelings honestly and calmly to him.

Dear Heavenly Father, in Jesus' name, we come to You with a heavy heart, lifting up our sister. We asking for Your comfort and guidance during this difficult time. Help her through her feelings Lord. Father God We also pray for her husband, that You would turn his heart towards his wife and help him to fulfill his role as a loving, caring, and attentive husband, Father God we ask to put our sister higher in priorities to her husband even when busy with family. Please give our sister may find the strength, patience, and wisdom to support her husband and his family during that time, In Jesus Mighty Name. Give her peace through this. Father God we bring this before you with thanksgiving and hope for a resolution as you see fit. Amen. Please feel free to continue reaching out during this time.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Where do you need to further invest in true humility, charity, and genuine strength as a Godly wife? Do not simply focus on your own desires or needs, but rather seek God's will in submission as that may be the true change of heart you are seeking.
