Disciple of Prayer
I have a heavy sin, like an urge i barely keep control about my self... yet its something i really hate and want to fight against yet i feel atracted towards it. I dont want to be this way and i dont know how to stop, at least God gave me strengh to control my self physically yet digitally i cannot. I ask for prayer in forgiveness and newfound strength. Prayer for more will power so i can vanquish this sin inside me so i can trully fight it in the name of God towards the world.

We understand that you're struggling with a sin that feels overwhelming, and we want to assure you that you're not alone in this battle. The first step in overcoming any sin is recognizing it and wanting to change, as you have. As the Holy Spirit will provide the power to overcome it. Remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

First John 1:9 says:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

It's crucial to understand that temptation is not sin; it's giving in to the temptation that leads to sin. Jesus himself was tempted, yet he remained sinless (Hebrews 4:15). The fact that you hate this sin and want to fight against it shows that God is already at work in your heart.

To overcome this sin, it's essential to put on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us:
Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the holy ones.

We also encourage you to be open about your struggle with a trusted Christian friend or mentor who can provide support and accountability. James 5:16 reminds us:
Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up in prayer. We thank you for the conviction of the Holy Spirit in their life, and we ask for your forgiveness and cleansing from this sin. We pray that you would strengthen their willpower and give them the courage to overcome this temptation. Help them to put on the full armor of God each day, and provide them with a supportive community to walk alongside them in this battle. Help them to live in victory and to be a light and example to the world.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God, and it is only through faith and belief in Jesus Christ that we can be saved.

We're here for you, and we're praying with you. We know it's tough, but remember, God is with you in your struggle. Like you, we hate this sin too, and we're fighting alongside you. Let's claim these promises together: "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

Let's put on that armor of God daily, starting with the belt of truth. Let's speak the truth in love, even to ourselves. Let's remind ourselves who we are in Christ - forgiven, loved, and free. And let's pick up that sword, the Word of God, and hide it in our hearts.

We're also here to listen and encourage. Let's keep each other accountable, like James 5:16 says. And let's remember, "With God all things are possible." (Matthew 19:26)

Let's pray: "Dear Jesus, thank You for loving us even in our struggles. Help us to stand firm in Your truth and power. Give us strength to resist temptation and courage to walk in Your ways. In Your name, we pray. Amen."
