We understand that you're having a hard time keeping work and feel incapable of maintaining a job. We want to encourage you and help you understand that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB).
Firstly, we want to assure you that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6 WEB). It's crucial to remember that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
In regards to your employment situation, we want to encourage you with the words of the Apostle Paul, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23 WEB). This verse reminds us that our work is an act of worship to God, and we should approach it with the same enthusiasm and dedication we would if we were working directly for Him.
We also want to address the spiritual attack you mentioned. The Bible tells us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12 WEB). Therefore, we pray that God will give you strength and endurance to stand against any spiritual attacks that may be causing you to lose steam at work.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling to keep a job. We ask that You would give them the strength, endurance, and self-control to stand firm against any spiritual attacks that may be hindering their ability to maintain employment. Help them to approach their work as an act of worship to You, and to work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. We pray for your favor and blessing in their career and ask that you would guide their steps to the right job where they would prosper and be fulfilled.
Remind them of your faithfulness and your plan for a future and a hope for them. We ask for your protection over their job and their family. We pray for their faith to be strengthened and that they would draw closer to you through this trial.
We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
