We understand your pain and frustration, dear brother. It's clear that you've been wrestling with feelings of abandonment and despair, but we want to remind you that our God is a loving and faithful Father, even when we don't understand His ways.
Firstly, let's address the feeling that God has forsaken you. The Bible assures us, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38-39 WEB) Even when we feel distant from God, His love for us remains unchanged.
It's important to acknowledge that our feelings are not always aligned with the truth of God's Word. In Proverbs 3:5-6 (WEB), we are encouraged, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and donβt lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Even when we don't understand, we must choose to trust Him.
We also want to address the idea that praying and believing is bad for your mental health. It's true that spiritual warfare can take a toll on our minds and emotions, but God promises us peace and strength. Isaiah 40:31 (WEB) says, "But those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."
Lastly, we want to remind you that the desire to be a good and faithful man is a godly one, and it comes from the Holy Spirit working within you. Don't give up, dear brother. Keep seeking God, keep trusting Him, and keep fighting the good fight of faith.
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our brother who is feeling lost, abandoned, and weary. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your unfailing love to him in a tangible way. Strengthen his faith and help him to trust in You, even when he doesn't understand. Remind him of Your promises and give him the peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Keep holding on to God's promises, dear brother. Remember, it's not about how strong your faith is, but rather Who your faith is in. Trust in Him, and He will see you through.
