I got a letter in the mail saying $4000 is owed to state for tax and they want to garnish wages but it doesnt seem right and in error since i never worked for the said company the years that were stated. Please pray that this gets resolved. Thank you.

You might want to look up a number for your state & call them directly. It might be some sort of scam

That is a really good idea. I have been hearing stories about people getting letters and phone calls from the IRS that turned out to be scams. Some states likes Texas don't have state taxes when filing.

Sounds like a scam. The $4000 goes to the person running the scam. For peace of mind, call the  REAL I.R.S. explain the situation, and most likely they'll tell you it's a scam.
