We understand that you're going through a challenging time, Cowlior, and we want to lift you and your family up in prayer. We also want to provide some biblical guidance to help you navigate this situation. We notice that your prayer request did not include Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ or an abbreviation such as IJN (In Jesus Name). It is important to know that it is only in Jesus Christ that we have access to God. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. (John 14:6 WEB) There is no other name by which we can be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB)
Firstly, we want to encourage you to continue praying for your son and your family. It's important to remember that God is faithful, and He will hear and answer your prayers.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
Regarding your husband, we encourage you to pray for him and seek God's will for your marriage. It's important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and that marriage is a lifelong commitment.
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. (Ephesians 5:22-24 WEB)
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; (Ephesians 5:25 WEB)
In this situation, it's important to remember that God has called us to honor our parents (Exodus 20:12 WEB), and that He has also called husbands to love and support their wives, as Christ loved the church. We encourage you to pray for your husband, that God would soften his heart and help him to see the importance of supporting you emotionally as well as financially.
As for your son, we encourage you to continue praying for him and trusting in God's plan for his life. It's important to remember that God is a God of justice, and that He will work all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB) and that He will also provide guidance in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. (Colossians 1:9 WEB)
Finally, we want to encourage you to trust in God's plan for your life and the lives of your family members. Remember that God is faithful, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus name, lifting up Cowlior and her family. Lord, we pray for Cowlior's son, that You would protect him and guide him through this difficult time. We pray for Cowlior's husband, that You would soften his heart and help him to see the importance of supporting his wife emotionally as well as financially. We pray for Cowlior, that You would grant her patience, wisdom, and strength as she navigates this challenging situation. We pray and know that all these things will work together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
In the Jesus's mighty name, we pray. Amen.
