Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Stephen and his spouse in this time of dire need. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We trust in Your promise and ask that You draw near to Stephen during these challenging moments.
Lord, we pray for Stephen's health. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for Your healing touch upon his body. In Jeremiah 30:17, You declare, "But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds." We claim this promise for Stephen, asking for healing from his aortic aneurysm, back pain, PMR, and the effects of his recent seizures and strokes. Guide the hands and minds of the neurologists and all medical professionals involved in his care, that they may provide the best possible treatment.
Father, Stephen is struggling with deep emotional pain and depression. In 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, You are described as "the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles." We ask for Your comfort and peace to envelop Stephen. Lift his spirits, Lord, and replace his despair with hope. Help him to see the light of Your love even in the darkest moments.
We also pray for his spiritual well-being. Bring Stephen back to the faith, Lord. In James 5:15, it is written, "And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven." We ask for spiritual revival in Stephen's life, that he may find solace and strength in You.
Lord, grant his spouse the strength and wisdom to be supportive during this difficult time. In Isaiah 40:31, Your Word says, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Renew strength and provide the grace needed to support Stephen.
We place our trust in Your divine will and timing, knowing that You work all things for the good of those who love You (Romans 8:28). We pray all these things in the mighty and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
