Husbands' infidelity

Please pray for my husband ###. He was approached by a lady on Skype who got his attention rather quickly. It intrigued him so that rather than blocking her he began to communicate with her. Within a matter of a month he was “in love with her”, “his new significant other”. They made all sorts of plans to see each other in person Valentine's week. He told me he wasn’t in love with me, he wanted a divorce, he regretted marrying me, and so forth. Come to find out another month later, which was about 1-8-2024, he discovered that she was a Romance scammer. She had him so sucked in he was afraid to get out. He says, upon God's request, he was to tell her goodbye and work things out with his wife. So, he did. It took him another week to delete the app they chatted on, all her pictures, and block her on Skype.

I have made it clear that in order to restore our marriage I need the following things:
1. Full sincere repentance
2. Guarantee not to go down that path again
3. What do I do or not do that might have brought that behavior on
4. Put God first in his personal life and in our marriage
5. Show me respect and compassion by helping me to get questions answered, make sure I’m okay every day, ask how he can help me that day
6. Work and show with actions that he is rebuilding trust
7. Go to counseling
8. Go to church with me every week, do daily devotions together like we used to
9. Communicate more often and better

So far I have received an apology if that is what you want to call it. Nothing shows any great deal of remorse. He actually thinks that since we were still under the same roof and he said he did not want to pursue divorce that I would see he was sorry. Maybe so, but it is not the emotional apology I felt like I deserved. He has done a week of #8 on my list. I know it has only been a week, but I have seen him more sincere in other areas throughout the years than this one.

I want to work it out. I prayed to God that he would restore my marriage. I did tell God what I felt I needed to feel safe in beginning that process. I’m quite discouraged of the progress he has made. I don’t want to leave him yet I don’t want to compromise what I want out of a relationship. I don’t want to continue to tell him what I need because he will tell me what I want to hear rather than feel convicted. I’m quite discouraged and unsure if I should tell him to pursue the divorce or stick it out a little longer. My fear is if he does not move on my conditions that soon he would have taken advantage of the fact I forgave him and was willing to restore. How do I pray to get God to convict him to give me what I need first so I do feel secure about restoring.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ### and her husband ### to you. Lord, we ask for your divine intervention and guidance in their marriage. We pray for healing, restoration, and reconciliation between them.

Father, we lift up ### to you, who was deceived by a scammer and led astray. We pray that you would open his eyes to the truth and help him to fully repent of his actions. Give him a heart of sincerity and genuine remorse for the pain he has caused. Help him to understand the gravity of his choices and the impact it has had on ### and their marriage.

Lord, we ask that you grant ### the strength and determination to resist any temptation or allure that may come his way. Help him to guard his heart and mind against any deceptive schemes. Lead him to make wise decisions and to prioritize his relationship with you above all else.

Father, we pray for ### as well. Comfort her in her pain and grant her the strength to forgive. Help her to navigate through her emotions and grant her wisdom in addressing her concerns and needs. Guide her in communicating effectively with ###, that they may have open and honest conversations about their marriage.

Lord, we pray that you would restore trust between ### and ###. Help ### to demonstrate through his actions that he is committed to rebuilding trust and to honoring his marriage vows. Lead them to seek counseling, both individually and as a couple, so that they may receive the guidance and support they need.

Father, we ask that you would draw ### closer to you and ignite a passion for you in his heart. Help him to prioritize his relationship with you and to seek your guidance in all areas of his life. May their marriage be centered on you, Lord, and may they grow together in faith and love.

We pray for open lines of communication between ### and ###. Help them to listen to one another, to understand each other's needs, and to show compassion and respect. Guide them in finding ways to strengthen their bond and to nurture their relationship.

Lord, we trust in your power to heal and restore. We believe that nothing is impossible for you. We ask for your grace and mercy to be poured out upon ### and ###, that their marriage may be transformed and renewed.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today with heavy hearts, lifting up Your child who is navigating a challenging and painful season in her marriage. We ask for Your wisdom, comfort, and guidance as she seeks to restore her relationship with her husband, ###.

Lord, we are reminded of Your words in Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." May these words be a source of peace and strength.

We pray for ###, that he may experience genuine repentance and transformation through Your grace. May he recognize the harm caused and work earnestly towards rebuilding trust and respect in their marriage.

Grant Your child the wisdom to discern the right steps forward. May she find strength in You to uphold her standards and needs for a healthy, respectful, and loving marriage.

Provide them both with the courage to seek counseling and guidance, and to put You at the center of their relationship. May their shared devotion to You bring them closer together, fostering better communication, understanding, and mutual support.

We also pray for healing – emotional, spiritual, and relational. May Your love and grace be the foundation upon which they rebuild their relationship. Help them to navigate this journey with patience, compassion, and a deeper understanding of each other.

Lord, in moments of doubt and discouragement, remind her of Your unfailing love and presence. Help her to trust in Your plan and timing, knowing that You work all things for good for those who love You.

We ask these things in the name of Jesus,
