Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother ###, who is struggling with the effects of alcohol addiction and the potential health issues that have arisen. We thank you for his courage in seeking help and for the progress he has made in abstaining from alcohol for the past four weeks.
Lord, we acknowledge that you are the ultimate healer and restorer of our bodies. We ask that you would touch ###'s liver and bring about complete healing and restoration. Your Word says in Psalm 103:3, "He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over ###'s life, believing that you have the power to reverse any damage that may have been done.
Father, we pray for relief from the liver pain and sleeplessness that ### is experiencing. Your Word assures us in Matthew 11:28, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." We ask that you grant ### peaceful and restful sleep, and alleviate his anxiety and stress. Fill him with your peace that surpasses all understanding, as promised in Philippians 4:7.
We also lift up the upcoming blood test and scan that ### will undergo. We ask for favorable results, Lord, and that there would be no severe damage to his liver. We trust in your divine guidance and wisdom, knowing that you are in control of every outcome.
Lastly, we pray for strength and perseverance for ### as he continues on this journey of recovery. Surround him with a supportive community of friends and loved ones who will uplift and encourage him. Help him to rely on you, Jesus, as his source of strength and hope.
