Hello, my request is for myself and my children.
My exhusband has a nack for trying to control me through my children through the court system. He is constantly finding reasons to take me to court to either claim I'm a bad mom or to get more time so his child support will be dropped etc. He stopped for a short period of time, but now that it is tax season, he is back at it. Even when I'm doing everything right, I feel fearful that the judge may believe his lies and give him what he asks for. So far, we have had 2 different guardians ad litem who have found me to be the best for the children.
I am nervous this time around because my pre-teen daughter (who has a very BAD relationship with him) has been falling off track. She tells me she needs counseling because she hates her dad...she complains about him CONSTANTLY and asks me if there is any way she does not have to ever see him. Well, unfortunately, she has become distracted (by boys - tho I do NOT allow her to date at such a young age) but her grades have dropped which is FAR from acceptable especially considering she is in the gifted program in school. I fear that because her grades have dropped and among things that he may actually have a chance to get them. I pray that does not happen because our children have been through sooo much. I have had domestic violence orders against this man, and his ex-girlfriend did too. The children witnessed a lot of craziness from him including just recently he got away with a charges his ex-girlfriend filed against him. The children and I both KNOW that he actually committed the crime and GOT AWAY WITH IT. He broke in his exes house and stole things and destroyed some of her property. I knew he did it because he had previously done the same things to me, but also he admitted it to his sister who OF COURSE is NOT going to turn him in and he and his family talk very openly about EVERYTHING in front of our children. I can't tell you how many times they've come home afraid and asking about different things they overheard their dad saying to other ppl. It's just NOT a good situation over there. I recently moved and do not want him to find out where I live so that the children and I can have peace.
Please Pray that the Judge does not give him any more time with the kids than he already does because he actually does have them often NOW. He has every other wkend from Friday until Monday and he picks them up every Thursday and 2 Thursdays a month, he keeps them over night, and the other 2 Thursdays, I get them from him after a few hours because that was not originally a day he was even supposed to have...he tricked the judge into ordering that day that he could take the kids to Ju Jitzu and then shortly after it was ordered, he stopped taking them. He complains all the time about paying child support tho he makes triple my salary and I gave him the house and almost everything in it in our divorce. I just wanted away from his manipulation and abuse and wanted to save the kids from him. I left everything, and he doesn't even pay as much child support as he technically short because I didn't take him back to court when I got laid off and got a lower paying job. I just avoid him at all costs and try to keep sanity and stability for the children.
God, please don't allow him to get any more time with the kids. It's already so difficult on them. My daughter has self-esteem issues over there and depression. The only time she smiles is with me. My son is his father's favorite, but he puts sooo much pressure on my son that he's developed anxiety attacks that he mostly has with his dad, and calls me to Pray with him and talk him through them.
God please?! I beg you!! Also, please give me guidance on how to help my daughter in general and my son with his anxiety.
