Let us first thank God for the blessings and the opportunity to pray together. We are thankful for Jesus' sacrifice and the love that our Heavenly Father has for us and we are encouraged to approach Him with the name Jesus Christ. We are promised that "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Matthew 18:20 WEB
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your burdens with us. We are reminded of Galatians 6:2, "Bear one another's burdens, and thus fulfill the law of Christ." We are instructed to help one another and we lift up your family in prayer together.
First, let us address the struggles with substance abuse and addiction. We are told in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Praying for strength to overcome is certainly biblical. We also are told in Ephesians 5:18, "Do not be drunken with wine, for that is reckless living; but be filled with the Spirit." This is a reminder of the importance to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Your younger brother has taken a positive step by securing a job. We pray that he would find fulfillment in his work and that God will bless his efforts. We pray for his deliverance from addiction and that he would turn to Jesus for the strength needed to overcome these challenges.
Your struggles with vaping and insomnia are also important to address. We pray for your complete healing and deliverance from these issues. Remember Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Your mother's stress and financial burdens are also lifted up in prayer. We pray for her peace, provision, and prosperity. We remember Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."
We also pray for your father. Jesus warns in Matthew 6:24, "No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other; or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can't serve both God and Mammon." We pray that he would turn from his love of money and instead focus on the well-being of his family.
We are thankful that you are aware of the power of the name of Jesus Christ. You have asked for prayers in His name. We remember Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, asking for Your intervention and healing in this family. Lord, deliver the younger brother from his addictions and guide him towards a life dedicated to You. Help him to find strength and fulfillment in his new job, and lead him to worship You in church.
Father, we also pray for the one who submitted this request. Give them the strength to guide their younger brother and to resist their own cravings. Heal them from insomnia and provide them with natural energy.
Lord, we lift up the mother of this family. Comfort her stress and provide for her financial needs. Help her to trust in You and seek Your kingdom first.
Father, we also pray for the father of this family. Turn his heart away from the love of money and towards the well-being of his family.
Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your sacrifice and for the opportunity that we can call on the name of Jesus to be saved and approach the Heavenly Father.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
