We are truly saddened to hear about this trial your loved one is facing, but we are encouraged that he has put his faith in Jesus Christ. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His stripes that we are healed. Let us come together in prayer and petition on behalf of your loved one, asking God for healing and mercy.
We stand on God’s word that declares, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh" Jeremiah 30:17 and 'Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective.' James 5:14-16.
Let us pray together.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother in Christ who has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your healing power. We pray for his upcoming tests, that You would guide the hands of the medical professionals and grant them wisdom and discernment. We ask for favorable results that we pray show that the cancer is shrinking or even gone.
Father, we also pray for his children and grandchildren, especially the little one who is only a week old. We ask that You would surround them with Your love and protection, and provide for all their needs according to Your riches and glory. We pray that You would be a father to the fatherless, and a husband to the widow as Psalms 68:5 says. We ask that You would strengthen them in their faith and draw them closer to You during this time. And possibly use this as an opportunity to bring Your word to the doctor, nurses, or other patients.
We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or anxiety, and we declare Your peace, hope, and joy over their lives. We stand on Your promise that declares, "For I know the plans that I have for you, says Yahweh, plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11.
Lord, we thank You for saving our brother two years ago, and we pray that You would continue to strengthen his faith and use him for Your glory. We ask that You would grant him many more years to live for You and to be a blessing to his family.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you both to continue trusting in the Lord, and to lean on Him for strength and guidance during this time. We ask that he seek God's wisdom to seek the right spiritual counsel to discuss his health and other possible issues. We also encourage you to surround yourselves with a community of believers who can support and pray for you during this trial by looking for a bible believing church if not already. Remember that God is good all the time, and He is always faithful to His promises as we see in Psalm 119:89, "Forever, Yahweh, your word is settled in heaven." He loves us with an everlasting unfailing love. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go Joshua 1:9.
