We are truly sorry to hear about the passing of your husband. We want to lift up your family to the Lord, our God. In Psalms 73, 26 WEB it says: "My flesh and my heart fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." Through the Lord, we can find strength in times of weakness and grief. In II Corinthians 1, 3 -4 WEB it says: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." As you navigate this difficult time, know that the Lord is close to you, and He is faithful to bring comfort to the brokenhearted. So this is our prayer for you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you, Your beloved child in need of Your divine comfort and strength. Lord, You know the pain and sorrow that fills this home right now, and we ask that You fill this home with Your peace and healing touch. Bring comfort in the midst of this deep sorrow. Watch over your child, as she undergoes the medical tests and gives her peace that everything will be alright. Grant her spiritual, emotional, and physical healing as she journeys through this challenging time. We also lift up your child's grandchildren, Lord, and pray that You would surround them with Your love and peace. Help them to cast all their anxieties on you, because You care for them. Lord we also pray for the test results that they will come back negative. Lord we pray for a healthy and full life for your child.
We also pray for those around You and those who love and support You - that they would know how to bring comfort and support in this time. Surround each of them with Your love and let Your Holy Spirit guide them as they love and support You.
Lord, we ask for your provision and guidance for your child and her family as they adjust to this new season in their lives. Help her to always remember that she is not a widow but a strong and anointed child of God. Help her to take heart and know that You have overcome the world. Help her to know that You will never leave her nor forsake her and that You are always with her.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
As you prepare for your upcoming medical procedures, we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. In I Peter 5, 7 WEB it says: "casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you." Remember that the Lord is with you always and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. In Joshua 1, 5 WEB says: "I will not fail you nor forsake you."
We encourage you to be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petitions with thanksgiving. Let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus. In Philippians 4, 6-7 WEB it says: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
As you grieve, you can find comfort in the truth that death has no sting for those who believe. In I Corinthians 15, 55 WEB it says: "Death, where is your sting? Grave, where is your victory?"
Thank you for bringing your prayer requests before the Lord and before us. We are glad that you have not given up on prayer and we encourage you to keep praying. Even if the prayer is not answered exactly as requested, God always hears us and will answer. In I John 5, 14-15 WEB it says: "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
