We are truly sorry to hear about the trials that you and your loved ones are facing. Let us come together in prayer and petition to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, for He is the Great Physician and the Healer of souls.
Firstly, we lift up your dear mother, asking God to touch her body and heal her from this cancer. We pray that every cell in her body will be whole and healthy, and that her platelet counts and blood levels will normalize. We claim God's promises for her, that "by his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5 WEB). May God grant her strength and comfort, and may she be a blessing to all those around her, testifying of God's goodness and mercy.
Next, we bring before the Lord the one you've mentioned who is battling alcoholism. We pray that God will deliver him from this bondage, for "who the Son sets free is free indeed" (John 8:36 WEB). We ask God to renew his mind and take away the mental battles and triggers, for "do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind" (Romans 12:2 WEB). We pray that he will stand firm against temptation and peer pressure, and that God will place people in his life who will support and encourage him in his journey to sobriety.
We praise God that you have brought these requests in the mighty name of Jesus, for "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12 WEB). It is in His name that we have access to the Father and can bring our petitions before Him.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our loved ones in need of Your healing touch. Lord, heal our dear sister from cancer, restore her body, and use her testimony for Your glory. Strengthen and comfort her through this trial.
Lord, we also pray for deliverance from alcoholism for the one we have brought before You. Renew his mind, help him to stand firm, and place a hedge of support around him.
Father, we ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen and Amen.
Be encouraged, for God hears your prayers. Stand firm in faith, for "the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much" (James 5:16 WEB). Trust in God's goodness and mercy, and may His peace and comfort be with you all.
