We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your son to the Heavenly Father, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep. We are grateful that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our beloved brother in Christ. Lord, You know the struggles he faces, the nightmares that plague his sleep due to PTSD. We ask for Your healing touch upon his mind and body. Comfort him with Your presence, cast out all fear, and grant him peaceful sleep, in Jesus' name (Psalm 4:8 WEB, 'I will both lay me down and sleep in peace; for you, Lord, alone make me live in safety.').
Father, we also ask for Your protection over him, shield him from all harm and evil. Send Your angels to encamp around him and deliver him from all fears and anxieties (Psalm 34:7 WEB, 'The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.').
Lord, we trust in Your promise that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). We ask that You would be especially close to him, healing his heart and spirit.
In Jesus' name, we pray for increased faith and trust in You, Father. Strengthen him to endure, to press on, and to know that You are always with him, even in the darkest nights (Isaiah 41:10 WEB, 'Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.').
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that causes these nightmares. We command it to leave in Jesus' name, for there is no place for fear when God's perfect love is present (1 John 4:18 WEB, 'There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.').
Lord, lead him to good counsel and support, that he may receive the help he needs both spiritually and practically. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your son, trusting in God's promises. Remember the words of James 5:16 WEB, "Pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
Stand strong in your faith, knowing that God hears your prayers. Galatians 6:9 WEB says, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up." Trust in God's timing and rest in His love.
