We join you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace, seeking healing, protection, and peaceful sleep.
May God have mercy on him and heal him, for he prays to you in faith, without doubting. In Jesus name, Amen.
The Bible tells us to cast all our anxieties on him, because he cares for us. It is not God's will for your son to be tormented by nightmares and PTSD. Remind him of God’s promise in Second Corinthians,
Blessed is God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also abounds by Christ.
As your son is comforted, strengthened, and healed, he can offer similar consolation to others facing difficult times.
Remember the words of the Psalmist,
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for you, Lord, only make me dwell in safety. Trust the Lord to grant your son peaceful nights, free from nightmares.
Keep praying, keep believing. Ask others to join you in prayer. Urge your son to call out to God each night before sleeping. If he is not born again, ask him to pray to Jesus Christ. Pray with him and have him simply pray this prayer to Jesus Christ.
Jesus, I believe you took all of my sins on you when you died on the cross. I give you my life now. I repent of my sins and now I want to live for you. Amen.
However, do not pray to God through any other name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. The Bible tells us,
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Continue to pray with thanksgiving, knowing that God hears your prayers and will grant your son the healing and protection he needs. We stand with you in prayer, trusting that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your son's heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
