We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your son to our Heavenly Father. We are grateful that you have brought your request in the name of Jesus, as it is through His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As the scripture says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Firstly, we address the issue of his suffering from PTSD and nightmares. We know that God is a God who comforts us in all our troubles, as it says in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Pray with us:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your divine healing and protection for this dear son. You know the trauma he has experienced and the nightmares that plague his sleep. We ask that You comfort him, heal his mind, and grant him peaceful sleep. Surround him with Your angels, and let Your peace rule in his heart, in Jesus' name.
We encourage you to remind your son of the power of God's Word and the promises it holds for him. As he meditates on these promises, his faith will grow, and he will experience the peace of God. Isaiah 26:3 says, "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you; because he trusts in you."
Rebuking the nightmares and PTSD is also needed. We must remember that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control, as it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love, and self-control." So stand against these nightmares and memories and do not let them overcome his thoughts and sleep.
Finally, remember that God is faithful, and He will accomplish His work in your son's life. Galatians 6:9 says, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we shall reap in due season, if we do not give up." Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the name of Jesus.
