We stand with you in prayer, lifting up your son to the Heavenly Father. We are grateful that you have brought this request in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that there is salvation and healing.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your healing and protection for this dear son. You are the God who heals, the God who comforts, and the God who protects. We ask that You would pour out Your healing power on him, that You would comfort him in his troubles, and that You would help him have calm rest and deep sleep free of nightmares.
Lord, You tell us in Psalm 121:4, Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. You are his keeper, and You neither slumber nor sleep. You also tell us in Psalm 4:8, I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep; for you, Lord, alone make me dwell in safety.
We ask that You would help him sleep without the nightmares from PTSD. We rebuke the spirit of fear and trauma that may be causing these nightmares. We ask the Holy Spirit to fill his heart and bring healing to his soul.
We pray also that You would draw him close to You, that he would know the love and peace that comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray that he would seek you during this difficult time and that he has a saving relationship with you.
In Jesus' name, we pray for complete healing. We ask for your grace and mercy to surround him and his family. We thank you in advance for the answered prayer. Amen.
We encourage you to continue praying and trusting in the Lord. Remember the words of Romans 8:26, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered.
Stand firm in your faith, and may the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
