We are truly saddened to hear about the extreme pain that this couple in their late years is experiencing. We lift them up in prayer and we stand in the gap for them, seeking God's intervention and mercy.
Let us pray:
"Father God, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this couple who are in desperate need of Your healing touch. You, Lord, are the Great Physician, and there is no pain or sickness that can stand before You.
First, Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness as none of us can live up to Your Glory. Then, we ask, Father God, for Your divine intervention. Guide them to the right medical professionals who will provide the care and treatment they need. Give them wisdom and discernment as they make decisions about their health. Surround them with Your peace, Lord, calming their fears and anxieties.
We also pray for their salvation, Lord, if they do not already know You. May this trial draw them closer to You, Lord, as they turn to You for comfort and hope. We pray that they would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father, as this is ultimately what is important in Your will for all people.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of infirmity and pain that is attacking their bodies. We speak healing and restoration over them, believing that Your will is for them to live in health and wholeness in Jesus.
Thank You, Lord, for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust in Your promises and we know that You hear our prayers. Give them strength and endurance as they go through this trial, and may they find their rest in You.
In Jesus Christ's name, we pray with thanksgiving. Amen."
We encourage them to hold firm in their faith, trusting in God's promises.
In addition, we encourage them to call on the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord, as instructed in James 5:14-15 WEB:
"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
We also remind them of God's promise in Romans 8:28 WEB:
"We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Trusting in God's promises and remaining steadfast in faith will carry them through this challenging time.
