Healing after infidelity

Pray for emotional healing for me. My husband of 28 years has been cheating on me for 15 years. I had no clue as he has intimacy in marriage. I love him very much and have forgiven him and have decided to stay in the marriage and give him a second chance. He has deleted the contacts of his affairs and had confessed his sins before the family. We have 3 grown-up children. He needs God in his life and pray that he will have a close walk with God. Pray for my healing as I am terribly hurt as the trust is broken.

Hello, Mrs. Varghuese. I said a prayer for you and your husband, that God may work powerfully in your lives to accomplish His good purposes. Be assured of my prayers for your adult children, as well. I would suggest that you both seek marital counseling. Many of my friends have sort to counseling and they’ve all found it very helpful. You can work together to heal the wounds of the past and put your marriage on a new and stronger footing. In the meantime, you might find this article on rebuilding a relationship an affair helpful.
