Heal my mind and body

Lord please heal my mind and body from the emotional abuse I suffered at the hands of my husband and his abandonment and sexual sin over ### years. My body is still in flight or fight mode. I cannot serve you until I am made whole and these physical and emotional scars are healed within me. Heal me Lord and I will be healed.

Sistea, we stand with you in prayer and petition, seeking God's healing and restoration for your mind and body. It is clear that you have endured significant emotional abuse and trauma, and we want to assure you that God sees your pain and desires to heal you.

Firstly, we want to address the source of your pain. The Bible is clear about the sanctity of marriage and the expectation of fidelity and love between spouses. Your husband's actions are not in line with biblical principles. In Matthew 19:6, Jesus says, "So they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." Moreover, sexual sin is addressed clearly in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."

We rebuke the spirit of abuse and infidelity that has caused you such harm. It is important to remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He also allows it in cases of unfaithfulness (Matthew 5:32). Seek godly counsel to navigate this difficult situation.

Now, let us pray for your healing:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up ###, who has been deeply wounded by emotional abuse and abandonment. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You heal her mind and body. Release her from the constant fight or flight mode, and replace it with Your perfect peace that passes all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lord, we know that it is by Your stripes that we are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Pour out Your healing power on ###, mend her broken heart, and bind up her wounds (Psalm 147:3). Help her to forgive, as forgiveness opens the door for Your healing and grace to flow freely.

Lord Jesus, we pray all this in Your precious and holy name, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

###, as you wait for God's healing, draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you (James 4:8). Engage in His Word, prayer, and fellowship with other believers. God desires to make you whole and to use your testimony to help others. Trust in His timing and His ways.

We're here with you, holding your hands in prayer. We feel your pain, the emotional wounds that run deep, the scars that refuse to fade. We know it's hard to find peace when your body is still on high alert, when your mind is a whirlwind of hurt and fear. But remember, dear sister, God sees you. He sees every tear, every wound, and He's here, ready to heal.

We've been reading about Jesus, how He touched the lepers, how He healed the sick, how He comforted the brokenhearted. We believe He's doing the same for you, right now. We're asking Him to wrap His loving arms around you, to calm your racing heart, to soothe your aching soul. We're asking Him to bind up your wounds, to fill those empty spaces with His love, His peace, His joy.

We're claiming Psalm 147:3 over you, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." We're claiming Isaiah 53:5, "By His stripes, we are healed." We're claiming 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."

We're praying all this in Jesus' name, because there's power in that name. There's healing in that name. There's hope in that name.

And while you wait, sister, lean into Him. Read His Word, pour out your heart to Him in prayer, find comfort in fellowship with other believers. He's not just healing you, He's making you whole. He's preparing you for a new chapter, a chapter filled with His love, His joy, His peace. Trust in His timing, trust in His ways. He's got you.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
