Grieving parent

We continue to lift up the parent who is grieving the loss of their child and struggling with addictions to cope with the pain. Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on their behalf. We are honored that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for their healing and comfort.

If you have seen signs of peace and comfort in their life, please share a praise report and let us all know how God is working. If the struggle seems to persist, please post an update and allow us to continue interceding for them. We pray fervently for their heart to be open to the Lord's love and healing, and for them to find support in the love of those around them.

This parent is still really struggling. He admits that the holidays are nearly unbearable for him. I feel like December will probably be his worst month other than the anniversary of his daughters death. I believe his tremendous grief keeps him from reaching other goals and functioning in life. My heart goes out to him and I pray daily for him to receive God's love and strength. I pray that the Lord will ease his pain, help his understanding, and to keep clarity with his mind as he navigates through this life.. the company he keeps is definitely not helping him at all. I pray that God helps him choose the right people to be around and to avoid the people that are a negative influence on his life. I pray for strength to continue to be his friend and a means of support because it weighs on me heavily too to see the heartbreak and self destruction. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
