We understand that you are eagerly awaiting good news, and we join you in prayer for that. First, we must remember that our hope is in Jesus Christ, and it is through Him that we can approach God the Father and expect for blessings. His word says, "that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:10-11 WEB).
However, we want to take this opportunity to remind you that as believers, our ultimate good news is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The word 'gospel' itself means 'good news,' and it is the news of salvation that Jesus brought to us. "Now I would remind you, brothers and sisters, of the Good News that I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word that I preached to you—unless you believed in vain." (1 Corinthians 15:1-2 WEB) So we pray that ultimately you find your joy and good news in Him, and that whatever news you are waiting will align with His will for you.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our fellow believer who is eagerly waiting for good news. We pray that You will reveal Your will for them in this situation, and that You will align their desires with Your perfect plan. We ask that You will give them patience, strength, and an unwavering trust in Your timing.
We also pray that regardless of the outcome and news, You will remind them of the ultimate good news of the Gospel. May they find their hope and joy in Jesus Christ, the one who loves them unfailingly and perfectly. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise that You work all things together for the good of those who love You and are called according to Your purpose.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
