We are glad to join you in seeking God's will and gaining a good understanding, clarity, and guidance. Let us remember that God's plan for our lives is always good, pleasing, and perfect (Romans 12:2,WEB). First, let us ensure that we have a right standing with God. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we can approach God and seek His will. As it is written, "In Christ, and God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s trespasses against them. He has committed to us the word of reconciliation." and "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:19,17 WEB) Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? This is the first step in understanding God's plan for your life.
As we seek God's will, let us draw near to Him, and He will draw near to us (James 4:8,WEB). We must also be willing to obey Him, for He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them His way (Psalm 25:9,WEB). Remember, God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19,WEB). Trust in Him, for His thoughts are not our thoughts, neither are our ways His ways (Isaiah 55:8,WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will and guidance. We ask that You grant clarity and a good understanding of Your plan. Help us to trust in You, even when we do not see the whole picture. Give us a willing heart to obey Your will, and draw near to You. Help us to see that the trying of our faith works patience and after it is tried, it will work hope, and that hope will not make us ashamed. Because the love of God has been shed abroad in our hearts through the Holy Spirit which was given to us. (Romans 5:4-5,WEB)
We can only truly know a good understanding, clarity, and guidance if it is in Jesus. "Jesus therefore said to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn’t listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture. The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." (John 10:7-11,WEB)
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, for God's plan for your life is far greater than anything you could imagine. Continue to seek Him, trust Him, and obey Him. As you do, you will find the clarity and guidance you need and a good understanding.
