We are truly concerned about the situation with your daughter and the struggle she faces with smoking weed. Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is in His name that we pray and seek deliverance. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We must also address smoking weed as being immoral and harmful. Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are to honor God with our bodies. Smoking weed is a form of substance abuse, and it is not glorifying to God. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 WEB, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's."
Let us pray together for your daughter's deliverance and healing.
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister in Christ and her daughter. Lord, we know that it is only by Your power and grace that we can be delivered from sin and addiction. We pray that You would set her daughter free from the bondage of smoking weed and lead her to a life of purity and holiness.
Father, we ask that You would convict her daughter's heart and reveal to her the harm that this substance is causing to her body and her witness as a child of God. Help her to see that her body is a temple of the Holy Spirit and that she is to glorify You in all that she does.
We also pray for our sister in Christ, that You would give her the wisdom and strength to support her daughter in this trial. Help her to speak the truth in love and to be a source of encouragement and accountability for her daughter.
Lord, we know that You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We pray that You would forgive our sister and her daughter for any sins they have committed and that You would restore their relationship with You and with each other.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, for God is at work in your daughter's life, even in this trial. Trust in Him and His promises, and do not give up hope. Continue to pray for your daughter and to seek God's will for her life. As it is written in Galatians 6:9 WEB, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up."
