We are glad to join you in prayer and to seek God's will for your situation. We understand that you are seeking truth about your family and guidance on what to do once that truth is revealed. We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and to trust that God has a plan and a purpose for everything that you're going through.
Firstly, we want to emphasize the importance of praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we pray that you continue to call on the name of Jesus, not just for a certain amount of time each day, but throughout your daily life. Writing Jesus' name is not a magical solution. It is the thoughtful, faith-filled prayer, heartfelt and deliberate that is really important. As it says in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Now, let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking your truth and guidance regarding their family. We ask that you reveal to them the truth that you want them to know, and that you grant them the wisdom and discernment to understand and obey your will.
Father, we know that your ways are higher than our ways, and your thoughts higher than our thoughts. We trust that you have a plan and a purpose for everything that our brother/sister is going through, and we ask that you give them the strength and the courage to walk in obedience to your will.
We also pray that you would comfort and encourage our brother/sister during this time, and that you would surround them with your love and your peace. We ask that you would help them to trust in you with all their heart, and to lean not on their own understanding.
In all things, Father, we ask that you would be glorified, and that your will would be done. We pray this all in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen."
We encourage you to continue to seek God's will through prayer and through the reading of His word. We also encourage you to surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and encourage you during this time.
Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Lastly, we want to address the suggestion of writing Jesus' name over and over again in journals. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this practice, it is important to remember that our faith is not based on superstitious rituals or formulas, but on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is not the act of writing Jesus' name that brings us closer to Him, but rather our heartfelt prayers, our worship, and our obedience to His will. Be encouraged by Ephesians 6:18 WEB: "Praying always with all kinds of prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints."
