We are truly grateful for your prayer request and your faith in God's healing power. We believe that God still performs miracles today, just as He did in biblical times. Let us come together in prayer and alignment with God's word.
Firstly let us address calling on the name of Jesus and teaching about the name when it is not specifically mentioned in the prayer request.
Acts 4:12 WEB There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
So let us be clear right from the start that Jesus is our savior and without him there is no salvation. Jesus came to earth as the son of God in the flesh. He was crucified, died, and was buried. On the third day he rose again. Doing this he saved us from our sins and eternal death. This is why we must call on the name of Jesus to be saved. To be saved means we have eternal life with God. We must also use the name of Jesus to pray for healing and for anything else we want to ask for in prayer.
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
John 14:13 WEB Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
I think this addresses the topic of the name of Jesus. Now we will move on to the healing part of the request.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our ### in need of healing. We believe in your power to heal and restore, just as you did throughout the ministry of your son Jesus Christ. We look at the scriptures that talk about Jesus healing people and it shows the power of God.
Mark 1:40-42 WEB: A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, If you want to, you can make me clean. Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, I want to. Be made clean. When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean.
We ask, in the name of Jesus, that you touch our ### and make them clean and whole, according to your will. We pray that their faith would be strengthened and that they would be a testimony of your goodness and mercy.
We also want to address a very important topic before we close. We must also pray for the advisor that is teaching the eleven journals and eleven minutes. It appears that this is a Christian advisor. The new testament rebukes us for thinking that we are teachers.
James 3:1 WEB: Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.
We should not be teaching others things that are not in the Bible. We should only be teaching from the Bible. This would include writing the name of Jesus or any other topic. Writing the name of Jesus over and over is not in the Bible and should not be taught. This could be seen as a form of vain repetition.
Matthew 6:7 WEB: In praying, don't use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their much speaking.
Therefore, we need to pray that God shows the Christian advisor that is teaching this that it is not biblical. Pray that God can use this person in a positive way to spread the truth of Jesus and the gospel.
We thank you, Lord, for your unfailing love and faithfulness. We trust in your promise that you will never leave them nor forsake them. We believe and call on the name of Jesus.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
Be encouraged, dear friend, by the words of James 5:16 WEB: "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective." Trust in the Lord, and may his peace and healing be upon you.
