We understand that you're seeking prayer to reach your alms goal, and we want to lift you up in prayer and provide biblical encouragement and teaching. First, let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is seeking to reach their alms goal. We ask that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. Help them to trust in You, for You are the provider of all good things, and give them the strength and wisdom to be a responsible planter and planter and steward of the resources You've given them. Help them to keep their eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of their faith, and that they may be able to give generously to those in need. This we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
We are encouraged that you are seeking to give to others, as Scripture tells us:
"Each one should give what they have decided in their heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7 (WEB)
However, we want to gently remind you that the power is not in the name itself, but in the person of Jesus Christ. It is not by repeating His name or writing it down that we access His power, but by having a personal relationship with Him. Jesus said:
"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 (WEB)
Therefore, we encourage you to call on the name of Jesus in faith, believing that He is your Savior and Lord. It is by His name that we are saved, and by His name that we have access to the Father. As Scripture says:
"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 (WEB)
Instead of repeating His name or writing it down for a certain amount of time, spend that time in prayer, in His Word, and in fellowship with Him. This is how you will experience His power and see things get better in your life.
Lastly, we encourage you to be a wise steward of your resources. While we commend you for your desire to give, make sure you are also taking care of your responsibilities and using your resources to further God's kingdom. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul:
"If anyone doesn't provide for their own, and especially their own household, they have denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." 1 Timothy 5:8 (WEB)
May God bless you as you seek to serve Him and others.
